As a recent transplant drawn to Colorado’s scenic mountains, active lifestyle and combat sports community, Mr. Issa Israel is one of Denver’s most dedicated and dynamic new Attorneys. His diverse career, spanning over 20 years, includes business and legal consulting, government affairs and higher education. 

As the managing attorney of Consultus Legal Ltd (dba Issa Israel Law Firm), Issa centers his practice on providing effective legal representation across a limited range of administrative, business, civil and criminal defense matters. In addition to practicing law, Issa operates ventures in real estate, management and media.  
 
Issa played a key role as a law clerk in defending the publicity rights of a legendary Motown entertainer, an experience that whet his appetite for intellectual property, entertainment law and defamation. He is  passionate about representing deserving plaintiffs in civil actions,  zealously defending those who have been wronged by our criminal justice system, and assisting entrepreneurs and small businesses through formations, corporate governance, licensing and litigation. 
 
Issa holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan Dearborn and a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where, under Michigan’s student practice statute, he represented hundreds of indigent clients through the University’s nationally acclaimed Criminal Trial Clinic and Misdemeanor Defenders P.C. As an Adjunct Professor he has taught courses in American Government, Political Science and Career & Professional Development. 

Issa is an essayist and poet who enjoys chess, billiards, martial arts and is an ardent advocate for indigenous rights globally.
