Who we are...

Consultus Legal Ltd, dba ISSA ISRAEL LAW FIRM, is a boutique administrative, business and civil litigation practice. While our firm includes limited criminal and domestic relations representation, our practice centers on guiding business licensees, employees, contractors and combat sports athletes through administrative processes; assisting entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders with business entity formations, contractual disputes and trademarks; and zealously pursuing civil causes of action on behalf of deserving Plaintiffs. Notwithstanding our firm's advocacy for Mediation and ADR, we are heavily litigation centered and happy to demonstrate why, when diplomacy fails, we are affectionately known as "The Fighter Firm." 

What we do... 

While our firm is a full service law practice (see below) the majority of our practice currently centers on (1) Registering Trademarks and Copyrights; (2) Creating Basic Estate Plans (Wills, Trusts, etc.) and Business Entities (LLCs, Corporations, etc.); and (3) Drafting and Reviewing Contracts and other legal documents.  
Administrative Law: Under our Administrative Law practice our firm represents individuals and businesses before state and federal government agencies, commissions, tribunals, arbiters, panels, boards and officials. We help prepare our clients for a wide range of administrative and quasi-judicial proceedings from the mundane to the complex. These matters include social security disability claims, unemployment compensation cases, bar admission proceedings, (combat) sports and athletic commission hearings, limited immigration matters and more.    
Business Law: Through our Business Law practice we help clients address a wide range of issues, many that arise within the context of contractual or quasi-contractual relationships. Oftentimes, parties wait too long to retain counsel and are forced to sue for damages. We recommend being as proactive as possible which sometimes means retaining Counsel early in the process which may often dissuade bad faith or failure to perform obligations. Our firm is happy to represent individuals and institutions in television and music as well as combat sports athletes as they face legal challenges unique to their professions.     
Civil Litigation: Our Civil Litigation practice is aimed at providing clients with robust representation through all phases of civil matters from investigations and the initiation of civil proceedings to trials and post judgment proceedings. While we represent both plaintiffs and defendants our focus is pursuing claims on behalf of deserving parties who have truly been wronged.
Criminal Law: Through our Criminal Defense practice we provide defendants with a robust, zealous defense to a range of legal issues. As criminal justice reformers we see ourselves as a part of the solution in terms of ensuring our justice system operates fairly and truly in the interest of justice. Each time we help a client get a fair shake from the system, we see ourselves as taking a step in the right direction. 
Domestic Relations:  Under our Domestic Relations practice we aim to provide relief to clients facing any number of difficult circumstances including child custody, child support and dissolution of marriage matters. The nature of these cases often requires a level of care and diligence that our firm savors the opportunity to provide. 
Entertainment and Sports Law: One of the fastest growing areas of our practice centers on representing artists, actors, writers, film makers, podcasters and content creators. In additional to administrative and business law matters, much of our work in these areas involves protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights. 
Firearm Rights: Our firm believes strongly in our constitutional right to bear arms and is committed to preserving this right for a wide range of individuals. Our staff will help you apply for concealed carry permit, restore your gun rights and defend you against criminal charges related to the exercise of your Second Amendment rights.
